The Vessel at Hudson Yards is a feat of design, engineering, logistics and construction. Built from 2014-2017, the project was design in London by Thomas Heatherwick, coordinated digitally with suppliers from around the world and fabricated in Italy into over 100 modular pieces weighing 80-100 tons each. Each piece contained wiring for power and lighting as well as storm drainage. Materials were shipped around the world to become massive pieces that were transloaded onto barges and specialized movers before their assembly crane and a host of skilled tradespeople at the center of Hudson Yards.

At Tishman Construction, Ari Goldstein was the Senior Project Manager responsible for planning, coordination and logistics working closely with a host of Architects, Engineers, Subcontractors and Fabricators from around the world to plan and build the structure.
